Trail Maintenance
in the
Catskills Region

Trail Maintenance:

There are three hiking trails in the Catskill Mountains that are maintained by the Rip Van Winkle Hikers. We maintain the Long Path from the snowmobile trail junction to Palenville, including the spur trail to Poet's Ledge. In the Black Dome Range, we maintain the trail to Thomas Cole Mtn. from Barnum Road P.A. And we maintain the section of the Pine Hill - West Branch trail on Big Indian Mtn. from Biscuit Brook P.A. to the Seager Trail junction.

The trails are maintained twice a year - once in Spring and then again in Fall. The club is proud to help provide a safe and pleasant hiking experience for all Catskill hikers. Please consider joining us for a satisfying experience.
